Stein am Rhein for lunch

This is a beautiful town I will remember for the wrong reason.

Heidi was kind enough to recommend some places for us to eat and we had to look for and stop at the Spath Cafe for lunch, for which wei ordered 3 large slices of cakes. No lunch. We jumped straight to dessert before rushing off to our next leg. It was a dessert place only :(

I thought the puppy was so cute. He was not a happy dog. tied up and waiting for his owner.

to Stein em Rhein

today was a long ride for us. all 50km (!) from Shaffhausen to Uberlingen. As wei put it, it was a humbling experience to ride 50km on a touring bike. From Switzerland to Germany on paved roads, cobblestones, gravel etc. I think it is easier to do our usual Saturday Round Island...
